December 8, 2003
Ithaca, New York—Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., a leading provider of cashless and foodservice management systems for the Healthcare market, today announced it has added Asbury Methodist Village to its family of Odyssey PCS clients. Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD, turned to CBORD’s Cashless System to add convenience and improve service to their residents.
Located in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland, Asbury Methodist Village is surrounded by softly rolling hills, lush landscaping, flowering trees, gardens and spring-fed ponds. Asbury’s 130-acre campus includes 73 villas, over 600 apartments, 133 assisted living suites and 285 licensed nursing care beds. Asbury Methodist Village is supported by its parent organization, Asbury Services, Inc. a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
CBORD has already installed the Odyssey PCS Cashless system in two of Asbury Services Inc.’s other not-for-profit locations, Asbury~Solomons Island, and Inverness Village. Because of the overwhelming success the other two locations have experienced with the Odyssey PCS Cashless system, Asbury Methodist Village was eager to implement it as well.
Odyssey PCS allows residents to use their ID card to pay for dining services such as meals in the main dining room, Sunday brunch, Russell Cafe meals for breakfast and lunch, catering charges, party platters, grocery items at the Shoppe (bread, milk, soda, etc), and Guest Meal programs. The card system will soon permit residents’ door access throughout the facility, allow staff to track membership at the Wellness Center, and offer residents the ability to pay for beauty services and gift store items.
