New Web Product Provides Nutrition Facts for Dining
For Immediate Release
October 21, 2001Ithaca, New York—Health-conscious restaurant and dining hall patrons will find added service and valuable information, too, with NetNutrition from The CBORD Group. NetNutrition provides online access to a complete set of nutritional data for selected menu items, allowing patrons to make more informed food choices. NetNutrition can be operated as an Internet or an intranet product.
“This tool will make it easy for patrons to get clear, accurate nutritional information, so menu selection will be easier and maybe even more fun,” says CBORD vice president Tim Tighe.
Tighe points out that the product can be used to grow sales, too. Foodservice and restaurant managers can use NetNutrition to highlight "heart healthy" menu items, helping to market healthy food. It also provides an opportunity to advertise products to patrons and potential patrons through the inclusion of advertising and promotional messages online.
NetNutrition pages can be accessed from a kiosk or from any computer using a web browser. For example, students with online access would be able to view the coming week's worth of menus for their cafeteria, and view nutritional information, too. Patrons in a restaurant or dining hall can use a kiosk with a touch-screen interface.
This product is an add-on to CBORD’s food production management system designed to enhance service and increase sales in a variety of foodservice operations.

“Cashless has created a culture in the organization. People refer to "swiping" and many have come to rely on it. Employees have their ID badge with them at all times and can use it anywhere.”
